Sun, Snow and a SWEET condo to "boot"

Friday afternoon, I stuffed 5 girls (including me), 4 snowboards and ALL of our luggage into the car and headed to Mammoth for a long weekend. There were two other cars heading up later that afternoon/evening.
Check out this packing job...

Saturday morning outside our condo before hitting the slopes.
Janet, me, Jen, Tim, Allison, Nickki, Steph, Ellie, Diane and Rose.
Jami's not pictured as we needed a photographer.

It was a beautiful "spring" weekend in February with clear sunny skies and 50 degrees. God definitely blessed us with a gorgeous weekend as earlier in the week it was a cold 20 degrees and this week its expected to snow every day and be around 20 degrees again.

We had a lot of community eating over the weekend. Here we are at Canyon Lodge for lunch on Saturday.

back to the slopes after lunch

more community eating when we headed to Roberto's for dinner - great mexican food!!!

Sunday we headed out again for another day of boarding. I think this shot might have been taken after we got off the Stump Alley lift, fell and got tangled up with legs and boards at odd angles. We recovered. Jen had some rough encounters on Sunday with an icy sidewalk, arm of the ski lift and our entanglement. Check out her blog for her boarding war wounds.

We gathered for church on the mountain at McCoy Station.

It was pretty amazing to worship surrounded by God's creation. The picture says it all.

Here's Pastor Justin playing the guitar during worship. He began his message with the fact that there are no two snowflakes that are alike just like God's children. God is truly the most amazing creator. There were 72 people at the service (Pastor Justin asked Janet to count how many people were there).
Here's a shot of me with Rose and Janet. We all met this fall through bible study. Rose is a die hard snowboarder (she might actually go to Mammoth even more than my friend, Heidi) and Janet was a super awesome skier this weekend after having not been on the slopes in 20 years.

I didn't get alot of shots of the SWEET condo but it was super nice (think of The Real World houses) and had a private jacuzzi. Here we are relaxing after two days of snowboarding.

Jami took us to her favorite childhood breakfast spot, The Stove, before we headed out of Mammoth.

It was definitely THE breakfast spot in Mammoth. I highly recommend the french toast (good pick Steph), Sierra Sunrise and the pancakes. More community eating...

Jami (aka Hi-mae, yep its going to stick...), we <3 The Stove.
